Sounds, imports & per-sound EQ

The built-in library

Ember Noise ships with ten sounds, in two families:

Everything is on-device. Nothing streams from a server, so the full library works in airplane mode.

Importing your own sounds

The sound picker’s Import from Files accepts any Apple-decodable audio file. Long files are streamed rather than loaded whole, so an hour-long field recording works as a corner sound without ballooning memory. Imported sounds get loop shaping — you control how the loop seam behaves, and can preview the seam in isolation before committing.

The per-sound EQ

Every sound — built-in or imported — carries its own three-band parametric EQ:

EQ settings are saved per sound and included in presets, so a mellowed-out White Noise in one preset doesn’t affect the bright one you use elsewhere.
