Install an Ember pack
Open the download email on the iPhone, iPad, or Mac where Ember Noise is
installed. An Ember pack is a file ending in .ember. Ember Noise verifies
the package and imports its sounds and preset on your device.
Pack links
A pack link looks like https://embernoise.com/open/pack/sample. Tap it from
Mail or Notes on a device that already has Ember Noise. The app should open
and import the pack. If the app stays closed, download the .ember file from
that page and follow the steps below.
On iPhone or iPad
- In the email, tap Download sound pack. If your browser asks, confirm the download.
- Open Files → Browse → Downloads, then tap the
.emberfile. - In the file preview, tap Share, then choose Ember Noise. If Ember Noise is not in the first row, tap More and choose it there.
- Leave Ember Noise open while it verifies and imports the package.
- When the success card appears, tap Listen Now to load the included preset, or Not Now to keep it for later.
The imported sounds remain in the sound library under Imported. The included preset remains in My Presets.
On Mac
- In the email, click Download sound pack.
- Open Downloads in Finder. The downloaded file’s Kind should be Ember Noise Package.
- Double-click the
.emberfile. Ember Noise opens, verifies the package, and imports it automatically. - Choose Listen Now to load the included preset, or Not Now to keep it for later.
If the pack does not open
- Make sure Ember Noise is installed on the device where you opened the email.
- On iPhone or iPad, use the file preview’s Share button and select Ember Noise instead of trying to unzip the file.
- On Mac, Control-click the file and choose Open With → Ember Noise if double-clicking does not open the app.
- Download the pack again if Ember Noise says the package could not be verified. Do not rename the file extension or unzip it.
